Show DEPARTED apy r is 1 fin vhf 1 rr r r h rs n the career of W lady Is closed EDITOR HERALD it as with feelings of deep regret th ati am called upon to chronicle the death of one of our respected citizens aiss ter mary sharp levi A cox sen her demise occurred on the enst and was caused by a severe attack of cholera borbus the funeral took place yesterday her taken to the relief society house where funeral services were held and her many virtues spoken upon by counselor john flinders and elders jesse powers and T S johnson who also spoke words of comfort to her remaining friends exhorting them to faithfulness and diligence in alic gospel of christ that they may be entitled to meet her in that eternal world where parting is no more and the are at rest the funeral was very largely attended and the sympathies expressed in behalf of bro cox on account of his bereavement were many deceased was born in washing burro lincolnshire Lincoln shire england november she lived with her parents until 13 years of age when her mother died and she was then in service much of the time until her year when she was appointed nurse in the lunatic asylum of lincolnshire Lincoln shire she was mars aled to levi A cox in october 1853 and they went to london and lived in westminister West minister where they first heard the gospel they were both baptized baptised sed in february 1857 they kept an open house for the elders who were eyer welcome they emigrated in 1863 and lived in franklin idaho until 67 when they moved to wilson lane where they lived one year after this they moved to hooper where they resided until her demise she was tho mother of six children who almost idolized her on account of her parental affection the manner in which she them up and the noble principles she taught them deseret eiba and Mil lemal please copy respectfully J R M hooper august |
