Show better than on the opening night-Sunday. night-Sunday. Each of the individual members mem-bers of the various acts wero at their best and were determined to please the largo and appreciative audience, and they did. They were all loyal and hard workers such as all members mem-bers of the profession of the stage arc when charity is concerned. Special praise is due to the following follow-ing for their acts, which made the occasion a success of the evening: Constant Arkansas and Miss Valeric: Miss Josephine and Mr. Cross; Tempest Tem-pest and Suushlne Trio; Potter-Hart-well.Trio; Miss Lulu McConnell and Grant Simpson and Bobby Pandur and brother. The Orpheum orchestra, under the leadership of Edgar D. Short, rendered a number of pleasing selections. Manager Joseph Gobs was at hla best,-and saw to it that everything went well. Before the curtain aroso he was assured that tho patrons were speedily seated, and when the curtain arose ho was on tho atago directing the work. During the intermission the mayor stepped to tho footlights and thanked the management of the Orpheum on behalf of the Martha society for their generosity In donating the houso'for the production. On behalf of the audience au-dience he thanked the Martha society, particularly the committee, Mrs. II. II. Spencer, Mrs. A. P. Hlbbs and Mrs. I. L. Reynolds, for the success of tho evening. The evening, while very successful as a social event, was also a financial success.
