Improved within tho next year, It will b? no fault of about 500 good roads boosters Mho will go Into session ses-sion tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock ot Armory hall on Pkrpont street. The convention Is sure to be the largest attended and the moat enthusiastic enthu-siastic In the history of the west, principally prin-cipally because oi the agitation in the roads line which has been raised and because of the legislation which I has beon Bccured and which needs only to be put Into force to start things humming In the Improvement of tse roads. There will be many eminent speakers, speak-ers, including Governor Spry, Mayor Branaford, Governor Brady of Idaho and J. II. Dodge of the bureau of good roads in the department of agriculture. agricul-ture. Notices have been received from all parts of the west pledging representation representa-tion and support of all the commercial organizations. The reduced rates on tho railroads and the aviation contest which will be held Saturday and Sunday Sun-day will make It possible for all pledged delegates to come at a small rosl. The Commercial club uas extended ex-tended the visitors the use of tho club during the stay In Ihc city, and other provisions have been made to make a success of the affair. Governor B- B. B.rooks of Wyoming has notified the local committee that more delegates" hive been appointed by him than are provided. He did this to assure a full representation from that state. Mr. Hodge, representing the government, govern-ment, will arrive In this city either this. afternoon or tomorrow morning prepared to deliver several addresses on tho good roads proposition, and other notables will come In tonight and tomorrow. A number oi the delegates dele-gates are already on hand and they report that more are coming. The interest in-terest seems general in the affair, and there should be some wonderful things accomplished when the session comes to a final close Friday afternoon. |
