On account of the complete tie-up tie-up of the Southern Pacific main line for about two weeks, Its Ogden connections con-nections have had to hold back on their deliveries. However, as fast as coast-bound freight was delivered to the Southern Pacific trains were made up and sent west. Trains have been running west since the washouts. Every available sidetrack between Ogden an. -I Carlln contains freight trains that will be moved west as somi as the line 1st open. This same condition condi-tion prevails on the west end of tho road. The flood waters of the Hear river washed out a large bridge between Montpeller and McCammon, Idaho, early this morning, and trafllc Is at a standstill on the Oregon Short IJne west from Granger, Wjomlng. Trains are being detoured over the I'nlon Pacific to Orden. Several breaks had occurred prior to this one, and the railroad company was equal to the emergency until the flood water of last night took out one of the longest bridges on the Idaho division. Southern Pacific trains continue to proceed directly vest from Ogden, but are W-ing held at Carlln for the opening of the washed out road, now dt finitely fixed at 0:30 this evening. The first train to start through Palisade canyon, the scene of the greatest damage by the late floods. Is scheduled to leave Carlln. ten miles east of Palisade, at 6 p. m. WMIe the assurance was made by the Southern Pacific company. Tuesday Tues-day evening, that they would have the l!iie ready for traffic yesterday afternoon, aft-ernoon, they missed their calculations by a few hours. Tuesday evening a bridge at Rorder was weakened weak-ened to such on extent that the officials of-ficials wrrc of the opinion that trains over that division would bnve to be detoured lv the way of Opdcn and the I'nlon Pacific for three or four d.iys. The bridge was repaired and yesterday morning the trains resumed re-sumed travel on that division.
