The Southern Pacific has added four fine freight ships to the New York, New Orleans, I Galveston and Cuban trade, and tho vessels, which are now being, constructed con-structed by the Newport News Shipbuilding Ship-building and Dry Dock company, the same concern which built tho great United States lAttleshlp Delaware, will make their first appearauce during dur-ing the coming summer. The ships are of the typo of the El Rio. the fine freighter now In the Southern Pacific's New York-New Orleans Or-leans trade, but with added Improve-I Improve-I ments and all the modern appliances. Invented since the El Rio was built. They are all of the following pattern: 410 feet long. 53 feet beam, ?.6 feet deep, 5.700 tonnage. The vessels are to bo named El Sol.
