Show 'BRIDGE WILL MEET ALL DEMANDS ONE TO BE ERECTED AT MOUTH OF CANYON. County Commissioners Pleased With Plans Submitted by Utah Light &. Railway Company. At the meeting of the board of County Commissioners this forenoon, the plans and specifications presented present-ed by the Utah Light & Railway company for the new bridge over the Ogden river nt the mouth the canyon, can-yon, were received and approved. The assurances given by the company were more than ample, to satisfy the commissioners that the new bridge will be built at an earlv date, an I thut It will be a better bridge than the old one. i The Utah Light & Railway company com-pany has planned to construct a steel bridge of modern design, and one that will have a five-ton greater capacity than the old one had. Joseph S Storey of North Ogden was appointed assistant fruit tree inspector in-spector for one month. In the matter of looking over the brldgo crowing the south branch of the south fork of Ogden river, with a view to making Improvements, or, building a 'new bridge. President Madson was authorized to buy two milch cows and other stock, for the poor farm. The resignation of Constable E. E. Kolbrook of the Birch Creek precinct was accepted. His successor will be appointed at the earliest convenient time President Madson was authorized to purchase the groceries, and other provisions, pro-visions, that will be needed at the county infirmary during the year. It was explained by Road Commlj-eloner Commlj-eloner Chllds that when the spur from the Oregon Short Line to Hooper wne built, tho people of Hooper were required re-quired to raise a part of the money that it would cost to construct tho same; that they had done so and Mill had $S00 in cash on hand that they would like to expend In building up the roads near Hopcr. They declared de-clared that this money would be gladly glad-ly turned to the use of the county if the commissioners would agree to expend ex-pend a like amount on the roads.
