Disaster has been brought to a large part of the town of Palisade, Nev . from a flood of water In the Humboldt river, which engulfed the place and carried seven or eight buildings down the stream to the Southern Pacific strel bridge, where they were quickly coneried Into kindling wood and piled high In the air, thus damming the swollen stream and backing the water Into the main portion of the town until it threatened the Southern Pacific office and frcUht sheds as well as the general gen-eral office of the Eureka ft Palisade Railroad company.
