Show ' on the famous old Deer Trail the pant 1 winter, aro feeling so elated and buoyed buoy-ed up with tho results of the work done that they aro now seriously contemplating con-templating the building of a mill on the property the coming summer. The Deer -Trail was one of "the old producers pro-ducers in the years agono when It was managed by the late O. J. Salisbury. Old veterans of Marysvllle have not forgotten the time when it was a reg- i ular shipper of the precious metals. ; Within the past few months a partle- ularly promising ledge of gold bearing quartz haa been followed up and developed de-veloped and there are those who say that the ore will assay high, carrying upwards of $100 In gold to the ton. The Salisburys are feeling so confident of the permanency of this latest strike that they can see their way clear to the putting in a mill on the property. When this Is done there will be other important properties that will be heard from In no uncertain tones, and the corning season gives promise of glowing with renewed activity in a j formerly famous district. j A good force of men is being stea l-lly l-lly .employed at the Log Cabin mine, at the head of the Bullion canyon The owners are more sanguine than ever before that rich ore Is almost In slnght. The Log Cabin Is one of the great holdings In the Marysvllle district dis-trict and Us projectors have never lost confidence in Its ultimate demonstration demon-stration of worth. Work on tills property prop-erty is moving along merrily and the present force will be greatly increased with the approach of spring and summer. sum-mer. Frank Wright, the owner of the Beech Hill property In Bullion canyon, is reported to have recently made a line strike of gold bearing ore. The Beech Hill Is an old-time producor. It having first come into prominence some 13 years ago, at that time shipping ship-ping some of the best ore ever discovered discov-ered iu the camp. The work now under un-der way is that of drifting on the contact con-tact between masses of quartzlte and limestone, following a small vein of lead ore along the contact About the first of April a large body of ore was encountered, assays from which havo been made showing values as high as $196 in gold and silver, with traces of copper. Mr. Wright Is feeling very much encouraged over the recent showing made In the Beech Hill and he will carry on the work with greater enthusiasm than ever before. The Munroe property, south of Bullion Bul-lion canyon, has lately encountered some line ore at a depth of ISO feet in the shaft. This shaft is north of the old Deer Trail mine, and higher up on the face of the mountain The owner of the Monroe is perfectly sanguine that he has encountered the Deer Trail ledge, which is of blanket formation, dipping to the north. Mr. Monroe is an experienced prospector and mining man and is placing his entire faith in the almost sure flattering showing soon to be made. All in all, there is going to be a renewal re-newal of mining excitement in Marys-ville Marys-ville the present spring and coming summer ,and those who are next to reliable exploitations, confidently predict pre-dict that the real future of the camp is soon to be asserted and demonstrated demonstrat-ed In a positive and convincing way. EXPECT REVIVAL OF OLD MARYSVILLE Many Properties Being Worked In the Gold Mountain District. Marysvllle peop:e who have occasion to visit Richfield this spring all concur In the sc-ntiment that 'vale Is on the eve of a great awakening. The financial finan-cial depression which spread its oc-topus-llke tentacles over this western country iu 1907 affected mining camps most disastrously and the healthy districts dis-tricts In central and southern Utah were not exempt from the staggering blows then inflicted, says the Sevier Valley Sun. The putting to the bad the prosperous mining camps on Gold Mountain and the entanglement and closing down of the mills were disastrous disas-trous calamtles to the welfare of the Se ier valley and affairs on Gold Mountain Moun-tain still continue to be in chaotic and uncompromising condition which may require another year to properly adjust. ad-just. Therefore, it Is pleasing, to say the least, that old-time conditions give promise of soon being restored In the Marysvllle region. The snow still lies deep in the mountain moun-tain canyons and gorges adjacent to the 'vale, and several weeks must necessarily ne-cessarily elapse before exploitaion and a renewal of development work is re-inaugurated re-inaugurated In the dozens and scores of properties which a few years aro drew attention to this, one of the oldest old-est districts and one of the real producing produc-ing camps in the state. Old conditions if c are to believe the optomistlc statements of well known mining men, are to be restored in this historic camp.
