Show Plan Road Schools for Pan-American Delegates Forty delegates will be brought to this country from I'an-Amerlcan countries coun-tries to make an Intensive "shirtsleeves" "shirt-sleeves" study of highways and highway high-way transport under the terms of a plan approved by government, automotive, auto-motive, road machinery, road material and banking representatives at a meeting held In New York. The proposal as outlined by Asslst-snt Asslst-snt Secretary of Commerce J. Walter Drake, T. H. MacDonnld, chief of the United States bureuu of public roods, and Dr. O. Sherwell, secretary-general secretary-general of the Inter-American high commission, provides that the men to be Invited will be named here, and all of their expenses will be paid by private pri-vate subscription, - The immediate purpose is to give the delegates a sufficient understanding understand-ing of developed highway transport to enable them to participate actively In the Pan-American Highway congress proposed at the Inst meeting of the I'nn-Amerlcan Union and which will be held as a separate project In 1024. The ultimate objective Is the promotion promo-tion of closer relations between the United State? and the other countries of the Americas. Roy I). Chitpln, Hudson-Essex company; com-pany; W. A.
