Show ' Salt Lake and Lore. I find myself still the lawful husband of' Mrs. Prestln. Having been unable to find any record of a legal marriage, either performed by a minister or by contract, nothing was left but n common law marriage, which Is not legal in the state of Utah; therefore, all claims upon Mrs. Prestiu by Joseph, .ire unjusL I cannot understand un-derstand how a man, who claims to bo the father of two of the children, can allow such articles to bo printed as to the character and bad habits of both father and mother without contradiction con-tradiction or trying; to seek redress. I hereby acknowledge my full claim on Mrs. FresMn and will, therefore, do my duty towards here and her children chil-dren to the best of my ability. 1 am also thoroughly convinced that, considering con-sidering the circumstance she worked under: the continuous falsehoods told to her as coming from me; and vlco versa, she has done all in her power to help mo during the .long, dreary days and sleepless nJghts to comfort and cheer me at all times, for which I feel grateful to her and stand ready tc do my duty towards my family at all times. Verv respectfully, HERBERT PRESTIX. PRESTiN CLAIMS TO BE LECAL HUSBAND As was published- In this paper when Herbert Prest in,-alleged to have been connected with the box car rob- bery that culminated in the murder ul Deputy Sheriff Seymour L Clark, ' was released fn.m Jail and the custody cus-tody of the officers, he found another claimant for Mrs, Pre&tln as wife, the claimant being one J. Joseph, who claimed to be the father or Mrs Pres-tin's Pres-tin's children, and went so far as to btate that Mr. Prestln was not a legal hufhaud at all. Since that time Mr. Prratin has been busily engnged In looking Into the matter, mat-ter, his cone 1 unions now being that he Is thr- rightful husband of tho woman, wo-man, and th;,i Joseph has no legal claim upon her as his wife. In a communication of yesterday, Mr. Pres-tin Pres-tin writes: Editor Stan. lard-Examiner: I hope you will kindly consider my rc-rpv'sl rc-rpv'sl to puolish the folio tving state-r..e:it. state-r..e:it. la j.iiMici. to myself rui I Mr.--, i'letiu.
