To many people a headache is Just 'in Incident to be borne with patience lor dosed with powders and forgot- Iten. The thing to do when you have a headache Is to look for the real source and then remedy the ailment, Which may be merely constipation or indigestion or lack of exercise ,and ventilation. In the first case, lake a purge, give the stomach rest for meal or two; then go slow-on slow-on the quantity of food oaten If It's lack of exercise and fresh air, take a walk. There are a dozen or so other ailments ail-ments that may cause headache. Often It's difficult to locate the exact source of trouble There may be defective teeth or eyestrain , Irritation in the nasal passages, or It may be the first evi-! evi-! donee of a brain tumor. It may signify disease of the kidneys, or the arteries. It may mean poisoned bluod, whether from tea lead, tobacco to-bacco or intestinal toxins. It ma' mean Impoverished blood. as In anemia; or fatigue of tho nervous system, called neurasthenia. Often the Immediate cause of a headache is over-stlmulatlon of the heart, an accompaniment of a number num-ber of organic disturbant es, resulting result-ing in abnormally high blood pressure pres-sure within the brain. The majority of headache remedies contain powerful heart depressants, which bring only temporary reliof ami leave the heart in a more dangerous dan-gerous slate than before.
