Episcopal church was one of the im-1 im-1 portant tasks still before the general j convention of tho church here when ; its final week's session began today. This is the body which carries on the activities of the church between Its ; triennial sessions. Twenty-sL members mem-bers comprise the council. President ! Thomas F. Gailor has asked that he j be permitted to retire from the national na-tional council, but it was said there was little prospect of his being re-I re-I leased.
