Show I UTAH BOY SCOUTS TO HOLD POW WOW SALT LAKE, April 3. More than 4 .")00 Boy Scouts of Utah are expected to attend the second annual Boy Scout pow-wow which will bo held at the, University of Utah April 6, 7 and 8. , I Some of the leudihg educators and busines amen of the state have been engaged to Instruct the boys. Governor Gover-nor Itabej Is also exported to speak at the general assembly, according to an announcement by the University extension division, which Is In charge of the affair. The purpose of the pow-wow Is to I teach the scouts such subjects as will aid In their work. Some of the sub-j 'r-c-ts to be given are birds, first aid. I trees, mining, electricity, wlroless, pho-j tography. .swimming, life saving, aviation avia-tion and horsemanship. The program will he US follows: I Daily. 1:30 to 2, preliminary pow- wow, 2 to 6. classes; 5 to 0. general 1 pow-wow; fi to 7. dinner, 7 to 8:45,1 movies. S : 1 G to 9., astronomy for the older scouts. The original date for the pow-wow as announced at first was Wednesday, Wednes-day, Thursday and Friday, but due to1 inn Inauguration of Dr. George Thorn-; as as president of the university, which , i is scheduled for Wednesday, the programs pro-grams have been moved forward one day. |
