Chees-man, Chees-man, I gden automobile denier, opened open-ed this morning In City Judge Ben Johnson's court. Cheesman is charged charg-ed with Involuntary manslaughter, arising out of the fatal Injuries of Dale Holt. 9. at Tnth East and Ninth South streets on January 21. who had been coasting. Fred .Wlson testified for the prosecution pros-ecution that a coupe, similar to the car which Chessman admits i-pt-r.iMng I in that vicinity on the ISAM night, rushed past the car In which Nelson and his brother were riding, skidded and nearly turned over at Ninth South. He Baid the car did not slacken slack-en in speed, despite the near-crash. Dr, J. Lloyd Woodruff testified that the boy's death was due to Injuries In-juries received In thp accident.
