With only one half game separating the St. Louis Browns from first place In the Amer-' Amer-' lean league, the team's best pitcher, Urban Shocker, expects to be out of the game for the next ten days due to a broken blood vessel in his right leg. Shocker has been ordered by the club's physician to rest until the Browns start on their second eastern invasion of the season. Shocker sustained the injury to his leg while the Browns were playing at Chicago in the last series of their recent re-cent road trip.
