Terrible Accident F(id lights poles rotting Off near the ground, the city electrician has had quite a number of poles stubbed. The city should go and buy a carload of cedar poles and these could be cut up to stub with, thus saving rebuilding almost the entire line, and at a minimum post. When the electric light line was built, none of the poles were cnredL.with a preservative, and as a result many of the poles are rotting off near the ground, and will either have to be replacotLby r.ew ones or stubbed n the next year or two. By all means get timber that wTITTast nibrothati three or four years', or we will be continually resetting poles.
