Show S. L. SCHOOL HEAD AND BOARD IN TILT SALT IAKE, May 10. A disagreement disagree-ment between members of the city board of education and G. N. Child. Superintendent of schools, regarding the necessity of a grade supervisor -d -lowed efforts last night t put Into effect ef-fect a plan to lower expenses bv re-lucing re-lucing the number of supervisors In the si hooi system. Mr Child stoutly opposed the suggestion sug-gestion that the position of J, T. Worl-ton, Worl-ton, supervisor of grammar grades, bo eliminated and that Dlzbeth M. Qual-trough, Qual-trough, supervisor of prlmir grades, j.issume direction of both the grammar and primary grades. After nearly two hours' discussion in the committee of the whole, the board was still unable to agree. Following Fol-lowing adjournment to the regular session room, the members voted to lay the matter over until the next regular board meeting. After considerable discussion, th-' board ultimately voted to accept the recommendations of the committee on teachers and school work that seven supervisors be reduced to teachers. Dr. Samuel G. Paul was re-elected iK.ilth director and L. M Gillian was again chosen director of part-time education ed-ucation and Americanization. The following principals were elected: elect-ed: Eva Brewer.
