Anyone willing to champion animals or humans hu-mans against cruelty and neglect may compete for prizes in a poster, essay and cartoon contest to be conducted by the American Humane association The contest will close May 20. William Wil-liam Qi Ktlllman of this city, president, presi-dent, announced. Cash prizes totaling total-ing $412. will be awarded in various groups, to include the younx; xnd thi not-so-young. For example. there will be a cartoon group for persons born before May 20. 1903. and another an-other for persons born after May 10, 3 303. Poster groups cover tho varl-! varl-! ous school grades, with a group for art students and any persons not tn- ' eluded in th" other groups Special I prizes for posters and essays are of fered to pupils in Indian schools. Posters should illustrate "ths Idea I of kindness to animals or humr.n I beings, or of abuses or cruelties that I should be stopped."
