The report of the conference committee on Senate bill No H'J. by Jenson. was read, but action was withheld, because of the absence of the member who hud moved mov-ed to amend the bill. Jenkins" bill, which provided for the amending of the inheritance tax laws, was defeated, and his other measure, prohibiting discriminations and rebates by Insurance companies, was limited to two minutes, and in on-was on-was stilcl.cn. The vote on the measure was Ayes 25. nays 3, absent ab-sent 9- Tho house also passed Senate bill No. 103, by Jenson. providing for motor mo-tor vehicle registration and regulating their operation- Several technical amendments designed t make the measure refer In some instances spe-j clflcally to motor vehicles were pass- i led. Another amendment which carried car-ried strikes the provM0n for horse-drawn horse-drawn vehicles carrying red lights at night, and a third clears up an ambiguity am-biguity relating to the use of spotllghta on automobiles.
