Show FOOD DEPOT IS PLANNED HERE Bishop Rawson Chairman of Committee to Formulate Plans for Needy Tentative plans for the establishing establish-ing of a commissary in Ogden through which provisions and supplies sup-plies may be distributed among nei dy families, were formulated yesterday afternoon at a meeting called UJ Major Prank Francis and attended by representatives of men's and women's wo-men's lobs of the city. Klshop W. W Rawson was chosen Chairman of the relief committee and Mrs. R. B. Porter, secretary. It is understood that the pi opoved commissary com-missary will be Independent of the city employment bureau arid will be supported by funds other than those furnished by the city and county. While the plans are yet Indefinite it Is the idea of the relief commlttei to open headquarters through which provisions may be fflven to the needy after ruii Investigation has been carried car-ried on. It is also proposed that employment em-ployment will be obtained for men through the bureau. Mayor Francis gave a statement of the accomplishments of the city employment em-ployment campaign and said that a plan was now in force where heads of families aie promised future mii-ploymerit mii-ploymerit e,n, ii,,, -ity and credit is now being extended to them. The relief committee will meet again soon to formulate concrete plans anK put their movement Into operation. |
