sun and produce a eight sight which is not easily forgotten As the anxious visitor to salt lake looks for the first glimpse of the temple block eo so hereafter will every traveler to cache valley wait for the first a appearance p pe arance of the temple with this difre difference rence however that in cache valley the distance at which the imposing structure can be seen will lend lead additional enchantment to the view 4 the temple stands upon a high hill like a promontory overlooking the city of logan and the whole wh ole valley this bench or hill bill is about ninety feet above the tabernacle square in the city and is said tobe tole to be feet above the level of the sea from the top of its towers one of the finest views that eye ever beheld can be enjoyed surrounded by mountains of perpetual snow the green feet of which seem to bathe in the sunlight of the valley the temple may be seen from idaho in the north a distance of sixty miles to where the strong arms of the wasatch encircle paradise in the south the late president brigham young considered the site upon which it is built one of the finest and beat situations far for a temple that he had bad ever seen and every neat at and tidy some of the rooms are richly ornamented with gil gilding diug and the elegant de sigus for the ceilings are indeed marvels of beauty there are four stairways which arc are situated in the octagon towers at ca cadi ch corner the building will bo be heated throughout by steam pipes and radiators dia tors the main room in the top story and is feet long and 80 feet wide and will scat sent about 1200 pe persons esons it is neatly furnished with homemade home made seats and hag has a stand in each end many of the rooms so the utah journel journal says fays will be set apart for
