fellow citizen elder W R it stowell who has just returned from a mission to the eastern and northwestern states and the dominion of canada elder stowell left his wives and children all that is dear and near to him on this earth in obedience toa to a call from the servants all ts of god starring starting out on april 1884 to carry the glad an and d glorious glori oud out message of the tile gospel to his fellow men merl who havo have yet been untouched bythe by the sound of the voice of revelation he ile also had bad for an object the collection of genealogical data of his family in which work wo we are glad to state he lie succeeded obtaining the desired information as far backas back as liis his grandfather s birth 1744 his noble sire fought for the establishment of those eternal truths of the preservation of life liberty and the pursuit of ba happ r ness those truths which are bein being 9 trampled upon now in the persons of the very progeny of the Re volu fathers E elder ider stowell first went to minnesota attending a conference of members of the church of jasus christ of latter day saints ai at mo i 1 ti cello on the and of april elder J E booth presiding it must also be stated that all along the trip from ogden the company of missionaries 24 in number held daily meetings in the cars encouraging agn g one another in the responsible work they were going to perform after the conference elder stowell and his ills companions elder eider booth anderson and others stayed around for a little while in the neighborhood which resulted in the baptizing of three
