Show A grand surprise A grand surprise was given to the tabernacle choir last evening evening by our fellow townsman mr marls lindsay after the usual practise of the choir at the tabernacle they were invited into the ve vestry y when a table laden with ice ice cream and cake greeted their eyes to which the they y all about 30 in number bc r sat down and enjoyed themselves with tho the cool generosity of mr lindsay when the repast was over a vote of thanks was tendered to brother mark for the jl mark ark of esteem in which he be held the tabernacle Taberna eld choir such favors are few and far between to that body of singers who devote their time and talents to the tile edification and joy of the assemblies WRO who meet there regularly these musicians musicians deserve to be encouraged as well as the brass bands or organized anizel in the city as they are the fife life I 1 and soul of society |
