fire on fourth street that they were desirous to erect and to see erected nothing but fireproof fire proof buildings in the tile locality named therefore they asked the council to extend the fira limits so as to ill in elude the whole of said block twin four laid on the table to come up in its order petition of the exact grade established on oil fourth between main and spring streets and the sidewalks marked was referred to the committee kittecon mit on streets the following petition was presented signed by parsons bros and thirty three other merchants we the undersigned undersigner under signed residents of ogden respectfully petition your lion hen body to repeal eo so much of article XI chapt XV of the ordinances din ances of this city as a applies plies to drummers and commer commercial elaf travelers believed believing ft that such license is a tax on the consumer a 1 positive hardship to our merchants a stumbling block to commerce and a diversion V version of money of other channels which should be circulated in our city cit fief referred erred to the committee on licenses the communication of washington Was liin 0 jenkins C E calling the attention ef of the council to the importance of officially establishing suitable and permanent landmarks and points of reference within the regularly laid out city was referred to the committee on streets petition of it C miller and 67 others 1 residents of mound fort and lynne asking the council to appropriate a sufficient amount to put in good repair the streets in this city north of ogden bridge was laid on the golding E 0 coker robt and D dalton each asked the city council to sell him a city lot referred to lie the committee on public grounds OF or the committee on claims mccoms mended that the bills referred to them at the last meeting be allowed after the following reduction 25 on the bill of L Wiil AVol dram sr for medical attendance on paupers haupers at the city hospital the committee on public G grounds rounds reported that the city lands not yet disposed of were located on the bench east of main street and consisted of about lots and some fractions fractious the iron works co had ordinance amending an ordinance nance entitled an ordinance relating I 1 to fire limits and the pre veli dention tion affire of fire approved october 1st ast 1880 the ordinance waa was passed in due form and ordered to be published in the OGDEN HERALD the same committee reported for the consideration of the council oun cil a bill for an ordinance amendia amending on an ordinance relating to the ME sale of liquors the report and bills were veto received action on said bill was postponed until the dinst when was appointed pointed tip for fur its consideration and passage bills were veto
