Show fire on sunda sunday Y a young gentleman of ogden while on his way to hooper er saw a conflagration near the itkins springs he drove his team to the spot and found it was a barn on fire and which was consumed I ed by the e tire fire clement element on arriving at the spot lie saw I two young youn g boys both of whom I wei were e bel bellowing lowing lustily i the matter said the young man to I one of the lads why said one of the boys we have been smoking I cigarettes and the ashes got into the rubbish ignited and set fire to tho the barn the building was destroyed but fortunately there was nothing of value in the barn we did not learn to whom it belonged but we do think that some measures should be adopted if possible to prevent such criminal carelessness n ess in barns or stockyards stock yards as smoking either pipes cigars or cigarettes by men or boys |
