that R K williams late chief justice kentucky is in utah has joined the mormon church and is practicing law with a mormon mornion partner to this the judge gives therol thoa following reply I have it ave never joined the mormon church but should not be ashamed of it if I had I am ani a member of no church and in all human probability never will be for I have a theology of my own that both agrees and mid disagrees with all churches I have a profound respect for all si sincere ficere and devout worshippers wor shippers and believe in the true principles olour of our federal constitution tie that none should be abridged whilst I do not subscribe to tile dogmas of any it is true that until the ath insl I I have had a mormon mornion partner in the practice of law for tho tile last three years and we have done a flattering and remunerative business but owing to his delicate delic ua health he lie lias has been compelled to withdraw irom active practice I I can however howe versay say of farm garden orchards and bierds hence labor is far better awarded here than thau in kentucky property and life arc are as secure here as anywhere in your st society equally as good as in in any country of its age A larger perle ent of its population over ten years of age can read and write than in kentucky a larger per cent of its po it lation within school abeare age arc in in tali daiv iv
