Keso-lutions Keso-lutions were adopted, copies of which were ordered sent to Senators Smoot and King and Congressmen Welling 'and Mayo, petitioning that the present laws be so amended as to make impossible impos-sible the examination of immigrants i at the point of embarkation by ' American officials and providing for limitation of number. j The resolutions further petition for an equitable distribution of all desirable desir-able emigrants admitted, tip reby eliminating the present dangerous system sys-tem of colonization in the large centers cen-ters Which tends lo slacken the process pro-cess of assimilation and makes Americanization Ameri-canization work exceedingly difficult. |
