TYPHUS WORKERS TO LEAVE POLAND SOON i WARSAW, Nov. 3 i i.'oiresponfl-lenoeX) i.'oiresponfl-lenoeX) The American typhus fever relief expedition to Poland, .the first organization of Its kind In the history of the United St ites army, is preparing prepar-ing to leave soon for Arnerlca. the Work which the expedition organised to be carried on by the Polish health department. The expedition came to 'Poland intending to remain four months, but Its service was extended on two occasions, the work having been started in August, 1913. In reOOgntlon of their services to Poland in the campaign against typhus fever the Polish government recently awarded the commemorative cross to naval mem begs of the organization. .More than 4i commissioned officers and 500 enlisted men. all of them volunteers, vol-unteers, have been affiliated with tho expedition form time to time, the or-ganlsatlon or-ganlsatlon consisting of about 200 men when the work began.
