It makes good reading for those who j need a little prodding He failed because He grumbled. He was always behindhand He had no iron in his blood He was willing, but hnfittea. He didn't believe in himself. His stock excuse was "I forgot He wasn't ready for the next step. He did not put his heart into his work He learned nothing from his mistakes. He ruined his ability by half dohig things He chose his friends from among his inferiors. He never dared to act on his own ."judgment. Be did not think it worth while to learn how. Familiarity with slipshod methods paralyzed his ideal. ; lie tried to make "bluff" take the place of hard work. He thought it was clever to use coarse and profane language, lie thought mere of amusements than of getting on in the world. He didn't learn that the best of his salary was not in his pay. Still he wondered why he didn't get on. |
