Show UTAH HAY SEED TO BE POOLED FOR MARKETING SALT LAKH No o. -Arrange menls for pooling practically all tlu-alfalfa tlu-alfalfa and clover seed grown in Utah this year, wilh shipment lo Salt l.ak for cleaning, grading and storing, and i Hale through a central office have been practically completed by officials of ihe I'tah slate farm bureau. The pool will Include between 3-000,000 3-000,000 and 4,000,000 pounds of sweet clover and alfalfa seed. The grealer) portion will be marketed in the central and eastern states, it is reported. The state farm bureau, in making' announcement of the plans that have j been made, stated that at the outset the seed growers of the state faced practically 'he same situation as the' woolgrowers. They had heavy crops but onlv limited sales, with no apparent appar-ent method of financing themselves while holding ihe crop for the market The decision was readied to pool the seed crop as far as possible, and with this in view three districts were organized These are the Millard coun ty district, including also Beaver. Washington and Juab county growers Emery and Carbon couuties form one district and I'intah and Duchesne counties another district. These three units have now haen taken into a state organization affiliated with the state farm bureau. Details of management have been placed in the hands of a committee of three, composed of the following Mil lard unit. N. L.
