Patten was injured during. the last few minutes of play, and Dahlstroin took hit place. at left guard.. , A little more team work, and a few less long shots and Bingham " will start to show signs of being the sort of team that has been the talk of the state for many years. . '. Pleasant Grove to Much (Continued from Page 1) BETWEEN YOU AND ME The West High defeat did not seem to have left much of an impression. Certainly the Blue and White lads are convinced by now that they are below par. The spirit of trying to make only long shots prevailed. Allias was the chief transgressor in this branch, never trying to feed to inyone. I The local lads failed to show the least sign of team work during the first half, several of them getting hit on the back of the head from passe directed at them. Pleasant Grove, on the other hand, played a great guarding game, each man covering his man throughout the ' first half. They didn't wait until some other time either. They did it right now. Hayes, a freshman on the P. G. team, although but 15 years of age, was the bright spot for the visitors. g s He experienced but little difficulty in passing the Bingham guards, and ' netted 7 field goals before the game 1 ended, - I Coach McMullin made but one sub- 1 Ftitution during the contest and that was when he removed Bodmer, shift- 1 ed Allias to center, and put Hall in 1 at forward. j The result of this long distance shooting gave the Bingham Forward 6 baskets out of about 50 trys. This long distance basket shooting may be all right if you make a basket, but it looks foolish when you miss. |
