Show I INFLUENZA DANGER HAS PASSED. Will another epidemic of influenza afflict us this fall and winter? Cincinnati's health officer, who ranks high in his services, takes issue is-sue with the health commissioner of New York. "The state and nation have been 'pretty well immunized by the disease dis-ease last fall and winter,' " says the Cincinnati doctor. "Epidemics of such character, as a rule, do not strike twice in the same place." he declares. "Of course there will be instances of influenza, the same III as we have had every year," he continued, "but I do not anticipate a recurrence of the disease in epidemic form." Dr. J. R. Morrell and other doctors of Ogden have been asked the question by The Standard and they all answer as does Dr. Peters of 1 1 Cincinnati. Dr. W. R. Brown, the city physician, says the history of similai epidemics leads him to expect no alarming outbreak of influenza during dur-ing the cold months. Those who were subject to attack suffered of ihc disease and now the country is well immunized. Reports have been circulated of cases of influenza appearing in Logan and Ogden, but the rumors have been found to be groundless. |
