Show President Declares That 275,000 Members Have Walked Out. CHICAGO. Aug. 6 L. M. Hawver president of the Chicago council of h--Federation of Railwa Shopmen's Qn-'ion. Qn-'ion. declared today that more than 275,000 members of his organization have obeyed the strike order issued I last Friday in defiance of the intpr-j intpr-j national officials of the union and that 'the number of idle men is growing hourly He said that every railroad 'in the middle west and south has been seriously crippled by the walkout.
