Show GEORGE BOURNE IS KILLED IN AUTO-TRAIN AUTO-TRAIN COLLISION ' George K. Bourne, 47, engineer fof the Utah Copper company, is believed to have been killed instantly early . Thursday, when his automobile was struck by a Salt Lake & Utah electric elec-tric train at the Hibbard crossing. Mr. Bourne was en route to Salt Lake to join his wife, in fixing up their home at 1429 Emerson avenue. He had been living in Bingham fof some time, because his employment was here Mrs, Bourne is a trained nurse. Following the collision the automobile automo-bile in which Mr.'Bour'ne was riding caught fire, severely burning him about the face and arms. He was removed from the automobile automo-bile by the train crew and taken to the C. I. Goff undertaking parlors. Identification of - Mr. Bourne was established through some letters and a bank book, which he' earried In his pocket. Shortly after the collision, the sheriff's office in Salt Lake was notified and Deputies Karl Reidheim and Holt, investigated. After the investigation, in-vestigation, they laid ttie information before County Attorney Wallace B. Kelly and requested an inquest. . . - Mr. Bourne came to Salt Lake five years ago from Cokeville, ' Wyo., where he spent his early life. Surviving Sur-viving him are his widow, his father, who resides in the Wyoming town, one daughter, Mrs. Jack Davis, by a former marriage, a sister, Mrs. William Wil-liam Calder of Salt Lake, and several brothers and sisters in Cokeville. |
