The youngsters admitted ad-mitted having attempted to ignite the' tank of gasoline, but offered no explanation ex-planation for their actions hen discovered bv Officers Tout and Chambers, the flames from the! waste which the boys had lighted were licking the sides of the large tank They were quenched before either the j gasoline or the tank was Ignited If is thought that manv of the in-cendiary in-cendiary fires which have occurred during the past summer have been the result of boys with matches. A num ber of young boys were caught, re- cently in the act of igniting a barn in, the southern part of the city, while one youth, when sent to the Industrial school, claimed to have started the grass fire which resulted in the total destruction of the Everfresh factory. oo |
