Show ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF MUTUJLS IN SALT LIKE SALT LAKE, May 14. Arrange meats have been made by the general boards of the Young Men's and Young Ladies' Mutual Improvement associations associa-tions of the Latter-dav Saints church to make the coming annual conference of these associations one of Ihe most interesting and instructive ever held. Sessions will be held Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, June 6, 7 and 8. The present program, as far as completed. Is as follows: Friday. June 6 Joint officers' meeting, meet-ing, to be held in the assembly hall. Opening hymn, "Victory Song"; reading read-ing of the slogan for 1919-20, whieh is, "We stand for spiritual growth through attendance at sacrament meetings." meet-ings." The slogan will be repeated at every meeting with scriptural quotations quota-tions ;roeting8, presiding officers Advanced senior class work and 'each-er 'each-er training classes will be discussed. Superintendent Anthony W. 1 ins and President Martha H. Tingey will preside. pre-side. A separate Y. M. and Y. L. M. I. A officers' meeting will be held at 2 p. m., at which various phases concerning concern-ing the work of each organization will be discussed. President Tingey will speak at the young ladies' meeting and the general welfare of junior boys, including lesson and scout work. In connection with the news program for tho Y. M. M. I. A . will be the subjects sub-jects discussed by the young men. B. S. Hinckley, chairman of this work, and a member of the general board will take churge. At 8 p. m. a reception and social will be given to stake officers at the new roof garden of the Joseph F Smith Memorial building. This will be one of the first entertainments at tho new social meeting place. Saturday. June 7 Joint officers meeting will be held in Ihe assembly hall. Announcement of M. I. A activities, ac-tivities, which covers a long scope of literary, musical and spiritual attainments, attain-ments, will be given. M I. A. service will be discussed by Le Roy C. snow and summer work by Roscow W. Eard-ley, Eard-ley, both members of the .. lo-rni board of Y M. M I A At 2 p. m. the separate J L .i I. a. officers' meeting will be held in tue I assembly hall. President Heber J Grant will deliver an address. Mrs I Edith G Young will sing a solo. At L I p. m an executive Bession will b held. Purposes of the new plan for the Y. M. M. I A. will be discussed. The senior department will be given consideration, con-sideration, under the direction of Pro fessor O. J. P. Wldtsoe, chairman oi 'this department I laude I Richards will discuss finance and publications. If there are entrants a final publW speaking contest will be held in the assembly hall at 7:30 p. m.
