Show NAVY BAND ARRIVES AND IS TO GIVE A CONCERT AT 7 P.M. ON CITY HALL SQUARE Tonight at 7 o'clock Ogden citizens will have the privilege of hearing the 40-plece naval band in a concert on the specially constructed band stand in City Hall park, Twentyfiflh street and Washington avenue. This band has been made up of men seleeted from the best musicians of the various ships in the Atlantic and Pacific fleets. Aside from the coneerf which lasts one hour, there are several other features fea-tures on the program which will be of deep interest to the local citizens, Including a lecture bv Harold U. Smith, chief yeoman of the navy, who will Bpeak on the traditions of the nay picturing the lot of the old time member mem-ber of the crew of a man o" war. and he will also tell of recruiting insurance' and several other subject-, which are of considerable public interest at prcs ent. The band, under the direction of I Chief Bandmaster George L Rogers, I has made an enviable reputation in its " travels It Is tourinq the west under the direction or the U. S. naval recruiting recruit-ing service and travels in a priate Pullman car. The band plaed in Poc-atello, Poc-atello, Idaho, yesterday Ogden citizens have been expecting for some time to hear this band, and there Is no doubt that there will be a very large crowd of people on the city hall square by 7 o'clock this evening. eve-ning. Besides the concert music the band will also give some excellent singing numbers, jazz music, vaudeville and acrobatic stunts The musicians will depart for Salt Lake at 9:30 this evening. eve-ning.
