Show money fiebmh to be supplied by 60VEMME I I Detail information, including .the 1 now provision for payment of mom- I bors, concerning the Students Army I Training corps was received this morning by County Agricultural Agent W. Preston Thomas, local representative representa-tive of the Utah Agricultural college, from President E. G. Peterson. This not only provides for $30 a month pay for the students who enlist in the organization, or-ganization, but for a commutation of board and lodging fees after their numbers are called in the draft. It also I provides for the enrollment of men over eighteen who have not completed I their h'igh school work, which had not I been arranged for when the first announcement an-nouncement of the S. A. T. C. was made. The Students Army Training corps, according to Mr. Thomas, will consist of two sections, A and B, A for men below college grade, namely, those men who have not finished the regular four-year high school course, and B for all high school graduates and former for-mer students of the college with col-'loge col-'loge standing. The college invited men over eighteen, especially those who have had some high school work, to join class A. All men over eighteen In both classes will be enlisted and, until draft numbers are called, will receive $30 per month. These men will bo required to pay for tuition, quarters and subsistence, but when their order numbers are called in the draft, they will receive commutation for rations and quarters in addition to the 30 per month. It is probable that these men will be drafted draft-ed between now and the opening of college, September 30, and should request re-quest the president's office or the commanding com-manding officer of the S. A. T. C, at Logan, to ask the committee of tho war department at Washington to have them assigned to the Agricultural college of Utah for training under the S. A. T. C. The committee will immediately imme-diately instruct the draft boards to do this. As soon as possible the men will all be housed and fed on the campus. The main source of officers in the future will be from the colleges and every three months, or perhaps at longer intervals, the men will be given the opportunity to be designated for officers' camps or be assigned for further fur-ther training at the college to fit 1 themselves for scientific or technical service. The length of the term thoy are to be kept in college will be do- l termincd by President E. G.
