Show SCHOOL FOR DEAF AND BLIND TO HAVE JTREE Onlv seventeen pupils of the State School for the Deaf and the Blind have remained at the institution to partake of the Christmas cheer which annually Is dispensed at that institution. The others have gone to the homes to spend the holidays with friends and relatives. But to insure a proper Christmas for those remaining, ample preparations have boon made. A beautiful, big Christmas tree will be lighted tonight at 7 o'clock to dazzle the eyes of the youngsters and please the older pupils and it will blaze forth in all Its brilliance throughout through-out the evening. This will be In the library at the school. A program of recitations, songs and other features will be given under direction of Mrs. Hurst and Mr. Woodbury. Santa Claus, dressed in all the trimmings of his Joyous mission, will 'visit the school promptly at 7:30 and commence distributing his sackful of presents and good cheer. Every child has a package from home and all will also be given a sack of candy, nuts, fruit and a gift. Santa will make nierry with tho assembly during the evening. The Christmas festival will be rounded out tomorrow with a dinner of chicken and other appropriate dainties of the yuletide. ' |
