i . S. G. HURRAY I ' KILLS HIMSELF j f SALT LAKE, - Jan. 7. Stephen G. jj j. McMurray, 63 years old, retired mining 11 man of Salt Lake, Jumped from a third story window at the Park sanilorium j at San Francisco yesterday and was instantly killed. Mr. McMurray, who i had suffered ill health for some tlme, leaped to his death only after he had overpowered his nurse. Miss Graco Campbell, according to messages received re-ceived at Salt Lake last night Mr. McMurray requested Miss Campbell Camp-bell to serve his breakfast yesterday morning, and during her absence from tho room attempted to unfasten the wire screen covering a window. He was climbing through the window with a pillow under his arm when Mis6 Campbell returned. She struggled with him several minutes before Mr. McMurray Mc-Murray broke away and plunged through the window. Miss Campbell became hysterical following the tragedy and was placed under the care of Dr. Robert Bering. Her arms and body were severely bruised in the struggle. Mr. McMurray McMur-ray is survived by his widow, who is residing at 555 Clayton street, San Francisco. Mr. McMurray left Salt Lake for San Francisco one month ago. A week later he was taken to the sanitorium.
