Victte had 4, with Chadwick making 6. John-son made 3 points. For West, Lunt showed up the best with four field goals. Mullett, an au-burn haired lad from last year's team also showed considerable stuff. The game was a trifle ragged in spots, but it brought out the fact that the Bingham High School basketball team for 1925 will be a hard one to beat. Between halves, the West yanni-gan- s and the Bingham yannigans playing for ten minutes, resulted in the locals winning ten to three. Brady was the scintillating light in this game with three field goals. ': A BUSY AND A HAPPY MONTH December is a busy month, and it ought to be a happy month, barring, of course, any individual sorrow that might befall. .. The merchant is happy because he is in line for a splendid run of busi-ness. The school teachers are in the midst of their good work of making citizens; postal people are busy in taking care of the thousands of packages that will make others happy and bring good cheer to loved ones far away; the house wife Is happy and busy shopping or making tidy things for gifts; the ministers and church workers are happy in ministering to the wants of the needy in bod and in spirit, and in preparing the edifying Christmas meetings and special services; children are joyous and happy; and so on down the line, t Other things being equal, if one cannot be happy and busy this Decem-ber there is something radically wrong with the individual, certainly not with December and all that it means and for which it stands. Reports come filtering into this office through exchanges and otherwise, that even editors and publishers of newspapers are showing signs of n over the general prosperity that looms; and we are in a position to know that when those who are connected with a newspaper are jubilant, it is quite safe to pronounce editorially (as we here have done) that those en-gaged in all other classes of endeavor are enjoying the anticipation and abundance of cheer that conies with Yulttide and December. BOY SCOUTS ARE TO BE EXAMINED A meeting of the Board of Exam-iners of the Bingham Canyon Boy Scouts will be held Friday evening, December 19, at the principal's oSfice in the new High School building, starting at 7:30. Second and First Class examina-tions will be given, and all scouts try-ing for these honors are requested toj be in attendance. A Court of Honor has been arrang-- 1 ed, the names of which will be given out later. The court will be empow-ered to give the scouts their first class badges, and alt other merit badges. SMALL BOYS NOT INTERESTED Anything we read about soap is interesting. The United States pro-duced $300,000,000 worth this year. That is enough to keep everybody clean, besides windows, dishes, pots, pans, woodwork and laundry garments. The use of soap also bears a close relationship to self respect." Clean bodies, clean clothing, clean homes, all tend to bring health and happiness. To carry on the suggestion, one can readily see that the mind and soul be-come cleaner all because soapmakers make soap. |
