Heart held a pleasant meeting in the parlors of the St. Joseph church yesterday yes-terday afternoon with Mrs. W, J. Der-mody Der-mody as hostess. Women's Conservation Committee Members of the Women's Conservation Conserva-tion committee held a meeting last ev- i ening.in the city hall at eight o'clock.! Extensive -work Is being canred on by , the ladies of this committee and much is done in regard o the canning of fruit? and vegetables in season. Congregational Ladies The ladies of the congregat ional church met yesterday at 2:30 o'clock at the home of Mrs. F. J. Swaner, 1561 Twenty-fifth street. The ladles are doing extensive Red Cross work and hold their meetings regularly. f W. R. C. Social Club The ladies of the W. R. C. Social club held one of the most delightful meetings of the year yesti rday afternoon after-noon at the home of Mrs. George Thompson, l Si l Hudson avenue where the club members were entertained In a pleasant manner for which Mrs. Thompson is so well known. Quite a few of the W. R. C. club ladies were present and following card games and a social good time thev enjoyed a delicious de-licious luncheon r ed by the hos- Methodist Missionary Society The regular monthly missionary society so-ciety meeting of the First Methodist church was held last Thursday evening even-ing at 7:30 o'clock in the parlorB of the church were following the usual business session an Ice cream social was enjoyed. The play was so successful that it will be given again tonight.
