Show CHILD SCALDED M ACCIDENT SALT LAKE, Jan. 15. Margaret, the 14-months-old daughter of Mrs. H. C. Fetters, 808 West North Temple street, was severely scalded yesterday yester-day when Mrs. Fetters, who was carrying a kettle full of boiling water, stumbled over an obstruction in such a way that the water was poured down the child's back. She was hurried to the emergency hospital for treatment, and. while her injuries are serious, it is likely that she will recover. Several other accident cases were treated yesterday at tho emergency hospital, none of them being very serious. J. A. Thoresen, 26 years old. 316 North Seventh West street, employed by the Central Market company, Is said to have slipped on an Icy sidewalk, side-walk, sustaining a fracture of the left elbow. D. Barthollo, 25 years old, 2G2 West Seventh South street, employed by tho Consumers Ice & Coal company, had several fingers of his right hand crushed when the iron door of a coal shute fell upon them. Raymond Bowdle, 25 years old, employed em-ployed by the Forrester Magneto Service Ser-vice company, and living at 369 South Sixth East street, .received a painful gash when a screwdriver ho was using slipped and entered tho palm of his loft hand. After treatment at the hospital, all the patients were sent to their homes. |
