Show Lindbergh's Sister Ship at El Paso El Paso, Texas Captain Frank Hawkes, flying the "Pride of San Diego," Di-ego," sister ship of Colonel Charles Lindbergh's New York-to-Paris plane, the "Spirit of St. Louis," arrived at Fort Bliss flying field and left, after refueling, shortly after 9 o'clock for the east. The next scheduled stop was Mrafa, Texas, where pore gasoline was to be taken on. The fliers expected expect-ed to reach Houston. Capfa'ln Hawkes is accompanied by D. W. Campbell, representing the San Diego chamber ot commerce. "Chamberlin and Levlne Le-vlne are mighty poor sports in their attempt to detract from Lindbergh's wonderful flight," Hawkes said here. The fliers left Tucson and will arrive In Washington, acordlng to present schedule, in time to welcome Llnde-bergh Llnde-bergh home. |
