Show BELGJAN PATROLS , ENTERJRllliES Cavalry Operating on Both Sides and Belgian Guns Firing From the South. WITH THE ALLIED ARMIES IN BELGIUM, Oct. 17. (By the Associated Associat-ed Press.) 9 p. m. Belgian patrols have entered Bruges and cavalry is operating on both sides. Belgian guns now are firing from south of the city. Ostcnd Is in British Hands, It is one of the two most Important German submarine bases on the Belgian Bel-gian coast. The other is Zeebruggc, about thirteen miles northeast of Ostcnd. Os-tcnd. The usefulness of these bases to the Germans had been seriously damaged dam-aged last spring by raids carried out by British naval units under Vice-Admiral Sir Roger J. B. Keyes. Both these raids were made in April and Admiral Keyes was the recipient of many congratulations and British and French decorations on the skill in which he carried them out. British Enter Douai.
