Show Bingham strong forte as they did noi miss a single one. The first two innings looked M ' though it would be a battle royal, but the Bingham defense cracked in the third, which combined with some real hitting by Jordan netted the home team four runs. Brady showed he has the makings of a pitcher and before the season is over should be a real help to Mc-Mullin. Mc-Mullin. Victti behind the bs, although a trifle wild- on his throwing, looked mighty good. Allias started the game at first base, and then went to the mound to relieve re-lieve Brady. He had but very little chance to show his wares at the initial in-itial sack but did very nice work in the box. Brady had a lot of trouble at first base, showing plainly he is not an infielder. Dalilstrom had very tittle to do at second, but may round out O. K. Joe Brisk had an off day at short, missing his two chances and he failed to locate the apple while at bat, fanning fan-ning out all three times. Walt Rimby looked mighty nice at third, and will be there with bells on before the season is oer. In left field McMullin tried out two men in Hall and Contratto. Hall didn't have any chance, but Contratto messed up two in the outer garden. Riley Patten in Centerfield looked better than any other on the team. He made two nice running catches, besides be-sides making two of the three hits made off Vincent. Patten handles himself like a real ball player. In right field, C'hadwick had very little to do, but at bat showed he could hit the ball on the nose, although al-though they went right into someone's waiting hands. "Boozy" Straup took Chadwick's place in the last inning but nothing came his way. Bingham has the material, and with a little more practice the team will be right in the running. HERE AND THERE The Bingham boys seemed a. trifle nervous, while Coach Ballard's men displayed a keen knowledge of the game. Considering that many of the local lads have never played against a team before, their work was very good. Catching fly balls seems to be thej m |
