They have selected se-lected the thrilling climax of Verdi's "Travlata" the brilliant "Parigi O Cara." The sejec.tions arc "Slumber Boat" and "Song of the Chimes," both on the same record. "Carmen" and "II Trovatoro'" nre undoubtedly the world's two most popular pop-ular oporas. It is fitting, therefore, that the great orchestra of the Metropolitan Metro-politan Opera House, which recently signed a contract to make records of operatic music exclusively for Columbia, Colum-bia, should have taken selections from these two glorious operas for their December Columbia Record. Everyone knows the music, but to hear it played by this famous ensemble of musicians is" to find an added delight in the dramatic' dra-matic' strains.
