Show Splendid Crowd Attends Firemen's j Party Thursday j A large crowd was in attendance at the firemen's card party, Thursday night to hear the Dempsey-Tunney fight returns and enjoy the balance of the evening playing 500. The returns came in as clear as though the fight was going on only a short distance away instead of more than 1,000 miles, and from the actions of some, one would have thought they had a ringside seat Cards were enjoyed' following the fight, eleven tables being filled. Refreshments Re-freshments were served to more than seventy five persons. The ladies first prize was won by Mrs. H. R. Gust and the consolation prize by Mrs. Fred Bemis. Winners of the men's prizes were John Householder House-holder and R. C. Smith. In appreciation of the patronage and the co-operation of the people in putting over the affair, which was a big success, the firemen wish to extend ex-tend their thanks through the columns of The Bulletin. . |
