Show TAXES I WEBER TO BE INCREASED BY STATE BOARD An increase in the assessed value of the property of Weber county is to be made, according to a communication communica-tion received this morning by the county commissioners at their regular meeting, from the State Board of Equalization. The increase will be: On range cattle, 20 per cent; range sheep, 20 per cent, and merchandise, 10 per cent. The letter stated that the members of the Equalization Board would be in Ogden, August 1st, on the afternoon of which day they desire to meet with the county commissioners to discuss dis-cuss the question of increased taxation taxa-tion and other Important matters. The letter from the cty commissioners, commis-sioners, Informing the county officials of the number of times that the city fire department had answered calls outside the city limits, and the amount of each call, was referred to County Attorney Joseph E. Evans. The votes for the special road tax election held July 20, resulted in fifteen fif-teen for and three against. The commissioners decided by a unanimous vote to Install a watering trough in the canyon near the Hermitage Her-mitage resort. |
