Show LELAND ItWEY HAS HIS FACE BURNED Leland Newey, an employee of the Home Furniture Company, had a narrow nar-row escape from being permanently Olined thiB morning while tending the furnace at the furniture store. He was firing up according to his regular custom, when an accumulation of gas blew open the furnace door and struck him full In the face. Blinded for the time being, he groped his way from the furnace room up a stairway onto the main floor. There was no one in the store, it being about an hour prior to the time the place is opened for business, but the injured man found his way to a door and out on the sidewalk. A passerby pass-erby noted his pligTtt and he was quickly taken to the office of Dr. Ezra C. Rich and given medical attention. at-tention.
